Privacy policy

This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It follows the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Who is responsible for your data PriceAction360 is the Data Fiduciary for the information described here. To reach us about your data, use the grievance page. What we collect • Your name and mobile number, and your email address if you choose to give one, when you submit the enquiry form. • The fact that you accepted the Terms and Conditions, the time you accepted them, and which published version you accepted. • Which part of the page your enquiry came from, so we can tell what is working. • Your IP address, briefly, to limit how many submissions can come from one connection. • A record of the visit itself — which pages, when, for how long, and roughly which city — described under "Counting visits" and "Google Analytics" below. We do not ask for your date of birth, your PAN, your income, your bank or demat details, or any document. We never ask for payment details, because there is nothing to pay. Why we collect it To contact you about the free programme, to answer your enquiry, and for purposes connected with it. The lawful basis is your consent, which you gave by ticking the box on the form. We keep the record of your acceptance because a consent you cannot evidence is not much of a consent — for you or for us. Who else sees it Others process something on our behalf. If we email you, our email provider handles your address in order to deliver that message. We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, which means Meta receives technical information about your visit. And we use Google Analytics to see how this site is used, which means Google receives the same kind of technical information. Both are described below. Counting visits We count visits ourselves, using software called Umami that runs on our own server. It records which page you opened, when, how long you stayed, what sent you here — a search, an ad, a link — and your browser, device type and language. It works out an approximate city from your IP address and stores only that city. The address itself is never written down: it is combined with your browser details into a one-way hash, used only to tell one visit apart from another, and rebuilt with a new random value every month. After that even we cannot connect this month's visits to last month's. Our own counting sets no cookie, and nothing in it follows you to any other site. The reason is a plain one. This site is new, and without counting we cannot tell the difference between nobody being interested and nobody being able to reach the page at all. Google Analytics Alongside our own counting we use Google Analytics, which is a Google service and not ours. It receives technical information about your visit — which pages you opened, when, your approximate location, and your browser and device — and it sets its own cookies so that Google can recognise the same browser again. It does not receive your name, your phone number or your email address,. A tracking blocker, or your browser's settings for third-party cookies, will stop it. Neither affects your ability to use this site or to join the programme. Advertising, and what Meta receives We run ads on Facebook and Instagram, and this site carries the Meta pixel so we can tell which ads bring people who actually enquire, and stop paying for the ones that do not. The pixel tells Meta that a browser visited a page here, and that an enquiry was submitted. Alongside that it receives the technical information any site would see: your IP address, your browser and device, and the page you were on. It does not send your name, your phone number or your email address. It sets cookies in your browser, including one named _fbp, which Meta uses to recognise the same browser across sites. You can limit this: browser settings for third-party cookies, an ad or tracking blocker, or your own Facebook ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences all reduce or stop it, and none of them affect your ability to use this site or join the programme. Cookies One functional cookie of our own, set only after you submit an enquiry, so the site remembers to show you the full curriculum without asking for your details a second time. Beyond that, the Meta advertising cookies and the Google Analytics cookies described above. Our own visit counting sets no cookie at all. How long we keep it For as long as we may reasonably need it. Ask us to delete it and we will, unless we are required to keep it by law. Your rights Under the DPDP Act you may ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to erase it, and withdraw your consent to being contacted at any time. Withdrawing consent does not make our earlier use of the data unlawful, and it takes effect for the future.
